Welcome to Adopt-A-Home!Adopt-A-Home is a More Than Shelter* program established to provide needed furnishings for families transitioning from homelessness into permanent housing.
This fall 40 deserving families will be moving into newly constructed homes at Century Villages at Cabrillo, a 26-acre residential community in the City of Long Beach established to break the cycle of homelessness.
100% of funds raised through Adopt-A-Home will go directly towards the purchase of brand new beds, sofas, dressers, lamps, a dining table and chairs...all the furnishings families need to make a fresh start in a new home, regain their dignity and achieve independence.
The Family Commons at Cabrillo, the latest addition to the CVC Community in Long Beach, will provide 81 more affordable homes with supportive services provided by PATH Ventures. This development has been made possible through significant investments from the Long Beach Housing Development Company, the First Federal Bank of California, Century Housing Corporation, and the John Hancock Company.
